“Dream of Venice” Book Giveaway

If you’ve been following along, either on the site or on my social media channels, you’ll have noticed that I’m a bit excited about being included in the new Dream of Venice book. I completely adore Venice, so this beautiful book would have been on my coffee table no matter what. The photos capture the very things I love most about the city – its haunting side, its unpredictable side, the side day-trippers almost never see. I’ve been beaming at it ever since a copy arrived in my mailbox.

And now I get to share it with one of you lucky readers.

"Dream of Venice"

“Dream of Venice”

The editor of “Dream of Venice,” JoAnn Locktov, has kindly offered me one copy of the book to give away on this site. All you need to do to enter is sign up for the Italy Explained Newsletter. If you were already signed up as of 7 December 2014, then you’ll get not one but two entries (a little thank-you from me to you for being early adopters!). The giveaway is open as of 8 December 2014, and I’ll draw a name from a hat (or maybe a bowl from my kitchen cupboard, I’m not sure yet) on 22 December 2014.

Here are the “Dream of Venice” giveaway rules:

  • In order to enter the contest and be eligible to win the copy of “Dream of Venice,” you need to sign up for the Italy Explained Newsletter, which you can do via the form at the bottom of this post or the one on the upper right of this page. That’s one entry per person for those who sign up starting 8 December 2014. People who were signed up as of 7 December 2014 will have their name entered into the contest twice.
  • I’ll remove duplicates before I throw names into the hat, so don’t sign up more than once. Oh, and if you’re a member of my family or somehow affiliated with Italy Explained, you won’t be entered in the contest. I mean, my family sort of wins already just by being related to me, right? Right?

  • On 22 December 2014 I will put all the newsletter subscriber names into a hat, mix them up raffle-style, and draw one out. This is old-school, you guys. I mean a literal hat, and literally drawing a name out. (And I know how to use the word “literally.”)
  • I will then need to collect shipping information from the winner (so be sure your email address is correct when you sign up!), who will receive a copy of “Dream of Venice.” JoAnn will ship directly, and she says there’s no geographical limitation on entries – she’ll ship a copy of this beautiful book anywhere in the world.

And that’s it! So, sign up for the Italy Explained Newsletter now, and you’re automatically entered in the giveaway. Plus? Getting the newsletter means you’ll never miss a single thing on the site.

I’d be oh-so-thankful if you shared this giveaway with your Italy-loving friends, too!
