It’s that time of year again!
I’ve just updated all the dates for Italy’s holidays and festivals for 2017, though there are a couple for which new dates have not yet been published. I’ll go back and update that page again when that information is publicized. For now, there are question marks by events that fall in a given month but don’t have specific dates yet, so if you’re planning a trip now you at least know that something should be going on during that month.
Easter is back in April in 2017, and Carnival straddles late January and early February. The Giro d’Italia is celebrating its 100th event in 2017, so expect some larger-than-normal celebratory events leading up to the start in early May. And Turin‘s chocolate festival, CioccolaTÒ, is planning not one but two events next year – one in February and one in October – though that’s one of the festivals for which there are no dates yet. Stay tuned, chocolate lovers.
I hope you’re all having a lovely holiday season, no matter what you celebrate or where you are, and I look forward to helping you plan your Italy adventure in 2017 and beyond!
